During a time of Israelās oppression, Deborahāa prophetess, judge, and mother of Israelārose to lead. She summoned Barak to gather an army at Mount Tabor, declaring that God would deliver Sisera, Jabinās commander, into their hands.
As the battle began, God sent a storm that trapped Siseraās chariots. Barak's army defeated them, and Sisera fled on foot to Jaelās tent. While he slept, Jael drove a tent peg through his temple, killing him and fulfilling Deborahās prophecy.
